YOU MUST BOTH BELIEVE AND APPLY GOD’S TRUTH

It easy to see today that worldly philosophies and untruths permeate so many people’s lives.

Today, so many Christian believers (and of course non-believers) settle for “second best” in life.   Christians quickly turn to the world for help.   When times get tough, they turn immediately to self-help, psychology, and psychiatry.  These models, however, are contradictory to what the Bible teaches.  They are full of half-truths, incomplete truths, and outright error.   They rarely if ever transform a person, offering a permanent solution to life’s problems.

We believe that Bible Truth still has transformative power.   We must believe this simple truth and act on it.  In Romans 12: 1-2, the Bible beseeches “by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world:  but be ye transformed by the renewing of the mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

When we apply Biblical truth fully to our lives, this truth can break us free.   This breaks us free from many life difficulties and limitations.   Many of us find ourselves in a prison of our own making.  Sins, spiritual problems, health problems, emotional difficulties – many of these come into our life by adopting practices contrary to the Word of God.  To make matters worse, most people are unaware that any help exists for them within Christianity.  They turn instead desperately to whatever the world has to offer them for help.

Truth is powerful.  Believing truth and applying truth can quickly transform your life.   Deception can have the opposite effect: it can place you into a bondage that you cannot understand and cannot break.   God’s Word is very clear about applying truth to every aspect of our lives.  God’s Spirit is called the Spirit of Truth.  The Bible is clear about Jesus’ relationship within our life: “You will know the Truth and the Truth will set you free.”  John 8:32  Our ministry approach is to expose untruths and replace them with Biblical Truth.
